As we welcome the new year, FOBL offers a big “thank you” to all the supporters and participants in our programs over the past year. 2020 was a difficult year for everyone to navigate, and we look forward to better days ahead!
Although the Covid-19 outbreak resulted in closure of the library in March 2020 and cancellation of all programs, the year wasn’t a complete washout for FOBL’s programming. Here’s a quick recap of what we were able to do:
- Two speakers for our January and February Saturdays at the Library speaker program
- A very successful “Blind Date with a Book” project that ran during January and February
- A Gingerbread Cookie Decorating event for children in early December – takeaway style!
FOBL Board members continue to meet on a monthly basis via Zoom so that we can plan future events. We look forward to restarting our regular programming, including the ever-popular annual book sale and the Coffee and Conversation group, once it is safe to do so. For now, stay safe, stay well, and stay home.
We wish you all the best for 2021!
The Board Members,
