Please join us by Zoom on Saturday, February 26th at 10:30 a.m. as we welcome our February speaker. Bonnie Sitter will introduce us to a little-known piece of Ontario history. Her latest book, “On the Wright Track: Memories from C.P.R. School Car #2”, tells the story of Ontario’s school railcar program through the recollections of four members of the Wright family. Their father, Bill Wright, taught in the railcar that travelled between Chapleau and White River. Hear about the challenges and rewards of living and teaching under such unique circumstances.
Bonnie Sitter lives in Exeter and is a retired travel agent who went on to study photography and then began publishing her own books. These include “Onions and Peach Fuzz: Memories of Ontario Farmerettes”, which is now being developed into a play for the Blyth Festival. Bonnie is currently working on a book about Clinton local Fred Sloman, of the School on Wheels, and is hoping to publish the book in 2022.
